Edge banding can be painted or stained. Since the edge banding is a wood veneer, if you get the edge banding that matches your wood type, your paint or stain should take to your edge-banding the same it takes to the rest of your plywood.

This is my take on a small redesign of the great Prusa i3 printer. I made the frame parts out of 10mm plywood machined on IndyMill (original Prusa uses a 6mm steel plate for that). Instead of 3030 aluminium extrusion that is hard to buy I used 2020 aluminium profile because I had plenty of that after building the Dremel CNC. Hi, I have been building this kayak in my garage using the free PDF of the patterns and I have just gotten to the point where I start stitching it together. However, I wasn't able to find a anything telling me where to drill the holes. I have already cut all the pieces of wood. Is there some kind of guideline I can follow to plot them out myself or do they need to be in very specific places? Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated.
